Tyler is 5!

My sweet boy turned 5 today! Am I really old enough to have a 5 year old? Sheesh. Time to start planning Kindergarten, I guess. We had a pretty great day, I think, even though Dean is pretty sick right now. We had a pretty relaxing morning.... I let Tyler watch the cartoons he wanted (Inspector Gadget) and I made pancakes with blueberry syrup and hot chocolate for breakfast. Then he and Isaac took a nap after lunch (Tyler doesn't nap much anymore, but I knew he'd need one if we went and had fun later!) and I took them to Outer Limits to play on the Jungle Gym, eat pizza, and play arcade games. One of his friends came so they had a lot of fun. I think he enjoyed his birthday! Now he is looking forward to his party with the family this weekend. I should have done a party with his friends, though.... he's never really cared in the past but this year he keeps saying he wants to have a party with his friends (oops!). I'm just not a fun mom, I guess.... I really had no desire to do a friend party. I know better for next year, now.
