So this time I had the opportunity to review The Pregnancy Journal by A. Christine Harris. Obviously I haven't completed it since I'm not even halfway through my pregnancy, but I skimmed around as well as following along with where I'm supposed to be in the book. It is a really great journal! I tried to keep one for Tyler that was much smaller but ended up missing a lot in it because it was not day-to-day. I didn't remember enough to go back and fill in what I had missed. The nice thing about this one is it is day-to-day. If you have an extra five minutes every day it's very easy to follow along with.
This journal is almost like doing a devotional every day rather than keeping a journal. There are a few places to record thoughts, feelings, and other notes, but it's not everyday..... which I like. Not a lot changes from day to day in pregnancy, it's more over a period of time. This journal accommodates that well. I am not the sort of person who wants to take the time to write every day... I just want to write when I feel like it!
Evey day there is a new tidbit of information and an interesting fact about that day of the pregnancy. For me, it's really reassuring to know that so much is going on inside that I don't know about. Right now all I know for myself is that I don't feel great, I'm tired, I'm moody, and my belly is getting bigger. It's great to know that the baby is developing and something new happens almost every day. It makes it that much more real, and helps me to feel better about all the symptoms, too! Any of you who are pregnant out there (and I know there's quite a few) look into this if you are interested in finding out how your baby is growing every day, and you want to look back on your pregnancy with fond memories!

Nebraska Trip
Tyler and Lulu, my cousin's peekapoo (he loves her).....
Bo (my cousin Tara's son) and me sleeping.....
My cousin Jesse and me at the Omaha zoo... we looked like we were an exhibit....
Tyler and I on a carousel at the Omaha Zoo... he absolutely loved it!
Those are just some of the pictures from our recent trip to Nebraska. Tyler and I went with my mom to see my aunt, uncle, cousins, and family from WV. My older cousin Tara just had her baby not too long ago and my younger cousin Jesse just graduated college and is going to medical school in Omaha this fall. It had been a couple of years since we had seen them so we took a "little" road trip. Tyler did so well on our 14 hour drive! He just watched movies and slept and actually stayed happy! It was a really fun trip and it was so good to see everybody. I just wish Dean could have gone! I missed him like crazy. He had to stay home and work... all of his vacation time is spoken for since we're going to Mexico and having a baby this year. Oh, well, hopefully next year we can go again!

It's a little more real...
I felt the baby move today! How exciting! I think I may have it a little last night as well. Today while taking a nap I rolled over to my other side and it was unmistakable! It actually startled me it was so strong. I'm a little surprised because I'm only a little over 14 weeks along now. It's super early to be able to feel anything. It's such a blessing because so far the only pregnancy symptoms I've had are not feeling well and missing that lovely time of month. Now I finally have a more positive and exciting "symptom"! How cool that it happened on Father's day. Tomorrow we are finally going in to hear the heartbeat for the first time. At my last appointment it was still too early to hear. Most of my family (including Dean) thinks we're having twins.... probably because of the size of my belly and how hungry I always am. Plus, Tyler says he wants a brother and a sister if people ask him. We'll see I guess. I seriously doubt there's 2 of them in there.... it's probably just one big one!
